CONCEPT ARTIST

During my junior year of college, I volunteered to work as an artist for an English class called The Creative Writing in the Community. The class was focused on rewriting/printing the stories from children within the Muncie community. The children wrote their stories and the college students from the class helped finalize the stories into a wonderful printed book. My role was to create a cover spread and inside illustrations to explain each section of the book. I utilized my skills in watercolor, pen and ink and pointillism to help finalize my pieces. I was so happy to be able to create something that was inspired by children of the community and was happy to be able to read their wonderful stories. This was truly one of my most memorable experiences during my time at college.
